I just realized that if you post in a topic that you had notification set on that you must recheck the box for notification each time you post. Otherwise it probably would take notification off. It makes sense.

Try clicking on the Notification link at the top of the screen, under Hey, YourName, you have XXX messages. Date, Time You'll probably see no notifications set at all... I guess I'll have to fight with the forum software again.
