SO closed but still shows up as OPen (Read 307 times)

SO closed but still shows up as OPen

In SO-A I change the search key and look for an SO by Customer Name. Click on show open orders and one SO shows up as OPen but when I try to edit the SO it says it is closed. The records are in both BKARINV and BKARHINV. My sales dept tells me that it has been fully shipped and closed.
 
Does anybody know why this happens?

We have this problem occasionally after an error during posting of invoices. Looking in the BKARINV vs the BKARHINV we see that the invoice numbers are mismatched.  
 
Do your billing people report to you when they have errors, even if they are able to get past the error?

No the billing folks  do not let me know when they have errors. So what should I be doing to avoid this problem?
