IN-A Data Missing
02/28/07 at 09:03:20

After 2/14 upgrade: Under IN-A, researching a Finished Good, first screen shows (20) on Sales Orders and (20) on Work Orders. This information is correct.

However, behind the icons for either Sales Orders or Work Orders, no information appears. The screens are blank.

Anyone have a clue?

Added information - it does not appear to be happening to all parts. Some are showing up ok behind the Sales Order and Work Order icons. I don't yet know how widespread the problem is.

We also lost information when updating to the 2/14 release.  The reference field in WO-I "Enter Finished Production" used to show up in IN-A transactions.  This no longer shows up.  We use this field in IN-A all the time.  Can we get it back?

I love this Forum, I decided to wait a couple weeks on this update to see how it shook out, so far it sounds like I made the right decision. I will wait for a couple patches then I will venture in!!!

Yup, I usually wait longer.  There didn't seem to be too much chatter...guess we're all thinking the same thing.

However, someone has to take the plunge-we'll just work through it for the time being.

Scheduling is now calling me...something about WO-A changing.  Sorry gotta go and post a new thread.

You can use SU-A and add the Location (or any other) column to the Inventory Transaction grid.

Easier said then done, especially when I don't know what the @&## I'm doing.  At this point, we can no longer bring up IN-A without an error and have to use Task manager to end task.  Since I don't know how to get it back, I'll have to reinstall the program.

2nd question: what file do I have to reload to go back to version 10/xx/06.  Will it retain my transactions since the update!

See...I'm not even shouting.

Hello,

You need to call bkina.run instead of t7ina.rwn You can use TAS-G and hit the program name button on the far left top. Note that if you run this, it will change all users to this not just you.

All of your data is safe. These are just the programs calling on the data files.

John is correct.  You don't want to roll back the whole thing but if T7INA is giving you fits, then switch back to T6INA.RUN.

Okay, I'll do that.  However, that is only part of the overall problem.  As you can see from my many posts since Sat 2/24, there are a lot of problem areas my employees are dealing with.  And yes, if I had a good way to switch them all back I would.  I just don't know all the previous menu names.  Some are BK*.*, some are T6*.*, etc.

I just checked T6INA and the Transaction button doesn't list the Reference there either.  What exactly are you referring to?

In WO-I, we enter information regarding shipping weight/piece.  We enter this in the Reference block.  It shows up in transactions in IN-A under the Customer/Vendor Field.

In IN-A, I went back to the T6INA.run program.  I tried to edit the grid in SU-A for inventory transactions.  I screwed it up so bad that no transactions show up in IN-A under the T7 program.  I do not know what to "restore" in order to get the old SU-A grid back for the inventory transactions.

Also, Anything further on my NOTES problem?

Thanks
