one small glitch.. the line item notes and WO notes happen live... print line 1 and what notes do you pick.. you could have 5 different notes for just line 1...
 and you can have up to 5000 lines on a PO

If I get what you are saying , then before it starts printing make one popup that will create a grid of source types( PO, Vendor, Item, WO) by note types (HID,STD,CSN,CSH,PCK etc...) then let the notes print where they may.  
 
 
I can do that... but like you said it is an all or nothing .. so if you turn on HID note types for Items then all lines will print hidden notes if there are any.

if you can figure out how to reverse engineer the date time stamp that's used as the link between ISNOTES and WBTRVMEMO.B

If you use Crystal Reports, you can access the file with the native btrieve driver, or
 
you can create a DSN connection to the root directory of \DBAMFG or \EVOERP  ( not recommended for all your other stuff, as these DDF's are NOT ODBC compliant ) but you can see, view, sql query the WBTRVMEMO_B.
 
OR,
 
modify your Existing DDF's that are in your company data directory that ARE ODBC compiant, and Add the location and table of the WBTRVMEMO.B  you need either the DDF builder from Pervasive, or know how to manipulate the System DDF's.
