Adding Part# Description to Sales Report?
04/09/07 at 09:33:39

We are running reports for customers to see how many of each part number different customers have purchased to plan our budget.  Our only problem is that we can't find a report that includes the part number description on it.  We have new ownership in our company and our part numbers are like "greek" to them.  It there a report out there that includes both part number and description with the customer sales.  Or is there a way to create our own?? You could add the description to Evo graphical reports such as SA-M but not DBA Classic.

We are using DBA Classic.  Is there any kind of report by customer that would show the description of the part number?

This might work.  What report is it?

It's a Crystal report I wrote up in about 30 minutes.

I can easily add a few additional fields if it would help then I will post it on the
WIKI for others to use.

I am still evaluating some standalone crystal report viewers that can be launched from the Classic DBA menu.
When I find one that Works well and is reasonably priced (I think I may have found it), then anyone with DBA classic
should be able to run crystal reports that others write.

I'm a little new to this.  What is WIKI and how would I get the report off of it?  the report the way you have it, would work just fine.  Do I need Crystal to run the report?  I don't have that either. cry
