PO UM Conversion disappears
04/26/07 at 12:36:25

In Search I saw some discussions of this, but couldn't find the fix.
I have one PN that, when I do a PO line for it, the proper Conversion factor initially shows on the screen (so I believe the IN-B setup is correct), but when the cursor passes the Qty field, the factor changes to 1.  Same in both Classic (2/14/07 Update) and Evo. Then PO Receiving obviously screws up the Stocking quantities and cost.
I have plenty of other parts where it works just fine, lickety-split!
Is there a fix? or a repair?

Thanks

If you have your Vendor Price File (PO-H) populated, make sure that you have the correct conversion factor in there for each item number / vendor combination.

Kevin, thanks.  No, we don't use PO-H and it's not populated.  I did go in and start to enter a Vendor Price for the ill-behaved PN and the conversion factor showed correctly, and didn't change to 1 as I went thru the screen.

I don't do much Maintain Database stuff, but is that where I need to go?  If I know the right file(s) and field I can handle it.

Still hoping someone knows what's wrong.

Thanks.

Make sure that SD-Q, 'Update Vendors Last cost in PO-C' is set to 'N'.
If it is set to 'Y' then it will create entries in the Vendor Price file.
These new entries may not get the correct Conversion factor, causing
subsequently entered PO's to have the incorrect factor.

You found it, PO-H was the problem.  I edited the Quote to correct the factor and PO-A behaves correctly now.  Thank you, Kevin.

But ISTech, the underlying problem with PO-H needs to be fixed, please.
