Help with grids
05/10/07 at 14:34:36

Can somene tell me how to get back a grid that was deleted by mistake.  The grid name I believe
was PO_HIST_LINE.  I was trying to delete a field (WO) that we didn't want to show up when doing a look-up and lost the whole grid.

There is a new program in the 5/1 update that will allow you to merge your grid file with the standard one we provide.  UT-A, program T7GDM.  It has 3 options - skip, replace or overwrite.

If you choose Skip, then any grids in our master file that you do not have (such as the one you deleted by mistake) will be added but your existing entries will not be touched.  Replace means that any entry with the same name in the 2 files will be replaced by our master but any new different entries you may have created will be retained.  Overwrite means that the entire file of all grids will be overwritten by our master file and any edits you may have done to grids will be lost.

The update process performs the "Skip" flavor, thus adding in anything new we may have created but leaving your edits untouched.

I ran the program T7GDM and clicked skip, it ran the program but that file (PO_HIST_LINE) was not added.  I went to check IN-A, PO Receipts and that grid does not even load.  All the other grids like Shipments and Purchase Orders do, but not receipts.

I ran the IN-A, PO Receipts, in DBA Classic and it works fine so the problem is within Evo only.  Any ideas Lynn?  Is there a file you can email me that might get it working again?

Lynn, I 've tried everything on this end with no luck.  I cannot get any information from IN-A, PO Receipts.  Here is the last post:

If you don't have a lot of grid edits that you want to save, use the T7GDM utility and the Overwrite option.
