latest patches
06/18/07 at 14:17:17

I downloaded and installed the 5/1 update on 5/12.  There are 5 updates listed in the patch file list.  Do I need download each one separately and install? or does the latest patch include all previous patches?

You need each patch dated after the date of your download.  They are not cumulative.

Yes, the patches get applied on the date they are posted, so you should not have to download any patches if you download the update. I don't have a lot of confidence that all of the patches are in there, so I usually check. So far I have consistently found that the patches are already rolled into the update. But you are right, the page should more clearly state the fact.

Okay, I am having some issues after the patch installs:

1) This one I need fixed ASAP, I am getting a "you have not renewed your license and can't run this newer version" error when trying to run DC-D Print Labor Status.

2) when clicking on Lookup for Serial# in SO-E we get an information box saying cfrom=SOE; clicking ok makes it go away.

3) in a blank screen in SO-E, click ESC, got the following error warning:
 ISTECH.LIB Line 2071
Betriever error- M\Default\ISLOG.B- 80.  Clicked OK and the program closed.

Quote from Lynn_Pantic on 04/20/07 at 16:23:02:
The complete update includes the current license file for all licensed users and installs it to the correct place when the update and patches are installed per the instructions provided. If you are getting a "You have not renewed your IS Tech License..." message (as opposed to "You are not licensed...") then the license file the program is looking at. Either your *.B files do not reside in either of the 2 most common locations (the main DBAMFG application folder or the DEFAULT subfolder), or you reinstalled an older license file after the update, or you installed only the patch files and not the main update, or you installed the patch files and did not specify "Include Folder Names" when unzipping the file so that the license file was installed to the DEFAULT subfolder.

I don't think any of these apply --
I did install the complete update, followed by the patches, (in this order 51patch1, 51patch2, 51patch3, Evolinks, SOser) .
I did install them using folder names, to the DBAMFG folder.
I haven't touched a license file in a long time, so I don't think I could have installed an older version.

I know it's only been a little over an hour since I posted this problem.  The person needing to use this program, DC-D, needs it by 2pm.  Should I just go ahead and replace the file with the old one or is there a fix for the new one that will be available momentarily?  Anyone?

Cathy,

Help is on the way.  One of the other programmers got his dates mixed up and put 09/06/07 instead of 06/09/07.

We fixed it, and will severely beat the programmer for doing it. (You hear that Mike.. were coming for you....)

Thanks, Allen, I'm glad it wasn't something I did.. I temporarily fixed it by copying the old program to the DBA folder. Please send the fixed file when it is ready.

See Mike run.
