It may not necessarily be a DBA question but our links have a space as in "shared/drawing files/drawing01.pdf" etc.  and when the browser opens this it only reads to the "shared/drawing".  Is there a fix around this?

Yes, the Classic DBA (Written in DOS)  uses Dos style paths and file names. So you need to put in the DOS version of the path. "shared/drawin~1/drawing01.pdf"
