WO-A (EVO only) malfunction (at least for us)
07/05/07 at 12:50:16

If we re-calc a WO in EVO WO-A (5/16/07), all the Estimated Labor costs disappear.  Close the WO and reported labor all goes to Variance!
If we re-calc the same WO in Classic, the Estimated Labor is re-calc'd correctly (and marvelously recovered if it had been lost under EVO).
SO-N works fine, the WO's it (initially) creates are perfect.  And re-calc within WO-I is fine, too.
First time we saw this was today.
Using 5/1/07 updates.

Anybody else? Or are we messing up?

I do see an issue with the WO-A Recalculate estimated cost but that would have nothing to do with anything posting to WIP Variance.  Estimated Cost in the WO is just that, an estimate to use as a benchmark.  The WIP Variance posting simply relieves the WO of any residual cost not posted as part of the finished product cost and is completely separate from the estimate.

Thanks for the quick answer.  You're right, I jumped to conclusions re: the variance.
We have always used the WO-I (re-calc'd) screen when we're finishing / closing a WO as a  flag of jobs that are far-enough off estimate to abort closing and check out what's going on.
Is it an easy / quick fix?  Please add a note here when it is so we'll know we can stop our work-around.
Thanks.

Not sure if this malfunction is related:  When we change the work order quantity, the pieces are not changing in the sequences.  The sequence still shows the original balance due.  This is throwing off the scheduling hours.
