7/14 update problem
07/18/07 at 14:14:58

Start setup.exe from the Temp folder, select my dba/EVO server directory, clik next, it tries to start but then gives me an "Error .. during move data process -115"  Component: Program files. File Group: Empty Directory File: F;\dbamfg\ermsg.dbr.
There are 2 threads on the Forum re: this error, but not enough info to help me.
Anyone have any help?  I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.

Error 115 means that the file is open.  Other users are in the system or there is a hung session with the files open.  Reboot the server is the best way to be certain all users are out and files are closed.

Lynn, thanks, all set.  And my apologies -- you put together a nice Troubleshooting .pdf and I don't check it / read it til AFTER I bug you.

Pervasive Monitor shows EVO users (sometimes 2 or 3 instances) with open files even after the user's closed the app at their machine. I asume that's normal, and that's what my problem was.  Whatever.  I'll check the Monitor in the future.  A quick reminder added in #2 of your Installation Instructions ("Use Pervasive Monitor to verify there are no users on the system") before running setup would help old, forgetful guys like me.

Cheers,
Dick
