Restrict access to Inquiry Only??
07/31/07 at 13:35:32

Is there a way to restrict access to all modules to inquiry only, maybe as a security level? I'm trying to prevent having to go into "Maintain Menu Access Records" and select just the inquiries for each module. Is there an easier way anyone knows of?

Set up a bogus menu as a template with only the inquiry screens, then copy as your create your inquiry only users. Or you could setup the Default with just the minimum, then delete the individual user menu profiles so that Evo will grab the Default for them when they log in.

You might want to take a look at http://www.evoerpwiki.com/index.php/Evo_Menus_%28TAS-G%29 for the FAQ on using TAS-G

So here's a question:  do the "no saves" and "no deletes" checkboxes actually work?
I've often wondered....there's nothing in the documentation about them.

They do but they can be frustrating because they don't tell you that your changes are not being saved.  So you can be updating information and then go back later and the chages didn't take and you don't know why.

Warning:  I have just discovered that if you are using "T7" prefix programs (such as T7APA.RWN, T7ARA.RWN, etc) changes WILL save even with the No Saves and No Delete boxes checked.
