AM-I Consolidate GL transactions
08/15/07 at 13:22:18

I ran AM-I Consolidate GL detail in my Test Company to see how it works.

First pass I tried one account number.  There are still 953 transactions for the year after consolidation.  Debits and credits within types did not consolidate.  It also seems there is a major hiccup for the date 12/01/2003.  Ran a 2nd pass, the 12/01/03 dates consolidated, the debits/credits did not.  Ran a 3rd pass, debits/credits did not consolidate.

I tried another number with a similar result: 12/01/2003 transactions did not all consolidate within type.  Had to run 2 passes.

Do others use this program?  Any glitches?  Are debits and credits within type supposed to remain unconsolidated?  Is there a programming bug on date 12/01/03 or is it a problem with my database?
Thanks.

The consolidation ends up with one net transaction per account, Journal type & Debit or Credit.

Just checked - the last time I ran Consolidate GL was 2/26/2003 and consolidated data from 12/31/1998 to 12/31/2001 without incident.

Our company likes the ability to go back a number of years.

I've also had difficulty with this program.  Some GL Accounts seemed to process just fine, while others had multiple records for the same month/type.

Lynn, is there plans to work on this or has a solution been posted elsewhere?
