MRP Question
08/20/07 at 12:04:47

Hello all,

Is there a way to copy and paste the MRP data from MR-H into Excel in a manner that won't combine all data in one row?  I'd like to be able to sort by different methods other than item number, preferably description.  Can anyone shed some light on this?

Print the report to disk as a text file, then import it as a data file into Excel (Data > Import External Data > Import Data). That will allow you to set the columns where you want them prior to importing.

In Excel higlight the column (either by individual cells or the whole column) and go the DATA drop down at the top and use the TEXT TO COLUMN.  You can sort that way.  I find it easier than exporting for small amounts of data.

Hello everyone,

I appreciate all your help.  I am able to import the text into Excel.  I was copying and pasting, forgetting the simple import step.  Now I just wish I could get more characters in the description field.  Maybe that can be in the next version of EVO!

Thanks a bunch!
