hold a release

Is there a way to hold a release because a customer went over the credit limit?  I want to be able to still enter Sales Orders, however when I go to release them it would be nice if I was warned before I could release the order if it is over their credit limit.  I wasn't sure if a setting needed to be changed some where.

If you put them on Credit Hold, you can enter the order but not release or process a shipment.
