Historical Backlog Report
08/23/07 at 15:05:34

My CEO would like to see a "backlog" of Sales Orders report.  This would be used to show any trends in "orders waiting to be made"

Meaning that he has asked that I calculate the dollar amount of orders that were backlogged as of 9/06, 10/06, 11/06, 12/06, etc, up through the current month.

He has a need to create a chart that shows the trend of our pending orders and whether it is trending up or down.

Now for the hard part...........BKARINVL = SOLines table, all the data seems to be here except for the fact that EVO reduces an SO Qty down to zero whenever a partial qty is shipped/invoiced and I can not seem to get to the original SO qty for a given line.

Meaning all the historical data from this table eventually winds up at zero qty and I can not find any history tables or ancillary tables to pull this info from.

Anyone have a clue?

It was suggested that I use the SA-A Bookings report with Order date through my as-of date and invoice date beginning the day after that through today.  That would show all orders entered prior to the date but invoiced after it; however this does not take into account items on order but not invoiced at all.

Anyone know how I can pull this together?

Frustrated by lack of data..........

I am trying to develop the same type of report now. I thought about tweaking around the SA-A Bookings report with RTM editor and see if I can get what I want out of it. As of now we are using access to pull are backlog summary report.
