Add a call with HIST button in AR-A

On some of our customer records, an information (i) dialog with "Information" in the title bar pops up that says:
 
You are not authorized to make changes to this account.

 


Does anyone know what causes this error?
 
We cannot find anything special with the accounts that show this message vs. accounts that allow us to add call records to the customer history.

It is related to the Rep assigned to the account in CM-A and the set up of the Rep in SM-I-I

Well, that could be the problem ... I have not 'assigned' any reps.
I have created reps and set them up so that they can see each others history, but
not edit or add any on another behalf.
 
We just want 3 different people to be able to put notes in history and create followups on any customer.
 
Can we do that with the current Contact Manager??
