We are in the process of doing 2006 taxes (yes... a bit past 2006) and have been encountering some weird balances in accounts. Upon further inspection it appears that the beginning balance for important accounts is 0 in 2005 and after that the data seems to have accumulated properly. For instance, the starting balance in 2005 for Accounts Payable was 0 but that's a lie. Should I run UT-K-D to rebuild things? After that do I run gleredo or is that not the thing to do? What's my best bet to rebuild the starting balances for 2005 so that account balances are correct. Obviously this probably means that currently the 2006 balances and ending balance are wrong too... We've been using DBA since like 2001 so I don't know why we magically have no balances starting in 2005.
