Print to file suggestion
10/16/07 at 05:19:21

Shocked  I admit it;  I am a neophite with computers and EVO-ERP.  Tongue

But, when I work with Quickbooks in another life I can print any report
to a txt file with the print screen.  It takes very little knowledge or skill.

In EVO-ERP I notice there are several modules where there is an option
to print to a TXT file.  ie: Sales & Manufacturing.  However, there is no option
in the accounting print screens to do so.  My accountant wants reports like
detailed trial balance and so forth in a txt or Excel file so he does not have
to scan and etc the files into his computer.  Or he wants us to e-mail these
types of files to him.

I am sure there is a way through the data base querys to do this but it is
GREEK to me in how to do it.

Is it possible to have print screens that will do the job in all of the modules?  Huh

Thanks for any response or acknowledgements to my dreams.   Smiley

I may have missed the info or help in using the data base method of doing
what my accountant has asked for.  I have searched the help files to no
avail or understanding from my part.  If indeed I have missed it, please do
show me the path to understanding.  Going to training is not one of my
options.  embarrassed

Every printed report has a print to file option. GL-E asks you "Print Where?" and one of the options is "Disk", which will print a text file that your accountant can import into an Excel spreadsheet.
