Voiding payroll checks
12/14/07 at 08:08:29

I had to void a payroll check and I just noticed it is still showing up in the pay record for that employee.  How do I get it cleared out?  Thanks for any and all help!

Where exactly is it showing up? It is normal for it to showup as a voided check in some reports. Voiding the payroll check doesn't delete the record but marks it as a void transaction that wont be included in payroll reports.

It still shows up in PR-I and PR-L-D.  Thanks!

That is normal. the check should show as CK# VOIDED and the amount will not be included in the totals.
Be aware that some reports, (I can't remember which because I use Crystal for most reports) give strange results. The important ones for tax purposes are good.
