After updating with 12-15-07 update, I get the error: “Error opening file - BKPRINFO.B  -12” in PR-A.
 
I read the instructions in the troubleshooting section:
“Error opening file… -12” If you get any message ending with -12, the file does not
exist but the Data Dictionary does recognize that it should. Check your backup – if the file
exists there, recover it. If not, then it is a new file that should have been created by the
update. UT-A, program DBAIF (DBAIF.RUN in EVO) and enter the file name to create an
empty copy.
 
The file does exist in the default directory. I remembered the problem a few weeks ago I had with my system updating a BKINFO.b file in the root directory which caused a problem when we reset the file path to the default directory, So I copied my BKINFO.b file to the root directory and PR-A works fine.
 
There is something going on during updates that is causing PR-A to look in the DBAMFG root directory for this file, while all the other payroll files are in the default directory. If this is something going on with my system only, you can e-mail me or call.
