Copying Default database files to a new Install
01/09/08 at 20:48:15

Hi,

We are running DBA CLassic 2004.1 with ISTECH update 10/31/06. I am trying to test an update and installed a test machine with DBA 2004.1 and upgraded to the 10/31/06 update. I want to copy the Default data from the existing system to the Default company in the fresh install. I have done that many time in the past and then run the latest upgrades to test the install before I actually install them on our production system. I am having problems this time. I copy the Default/*.B files to  the test machine and for some reason only some of the open POs show up in the test install. I am not sure if it has anything to do with the year end. My existing install has open POs till 1/9/08. But for some reason whatever I do and copy the *.B files from different backups that I have of the data from different days my test install shows only open POs till 12/18. And the rest are in history. The PO receivers screen is the same in both systems.

I have always done this in the past as a way to test updates before I actually do the updates and I have not had problems.

Can someone give me some ideas what may be wrong? IS there something that I need from the DBAMFG directory that I have not copied? I know I have installed an EVO Client on the production machine. Could that have changed something?

Thanks!!!!
