I am trying to install a copy of Evo on my laptop to bring to the symposium.  I downloaded a trial version of Pervasive 10 (wanted to try that out also) and copied my DBA folder from work to my laptop.  
I had to change my computer name, it was too long, then I ran gateway.exe.
Classic installed fine.  When I click on Evoerp.exe in the DBA folder on my C drive, I get the following message:
data dictionary file could not be opened: M:\FILELOC.dbf.  M is the name of the drive that is DBA on my server.
I have tried recreating the DDFs in classic.  I have used ut-d to change locations of company files.  Neither of these had any effect.
What should I do next?

Actually I figured this one out for classic;  I messed up using UT-D and had to start over.
So my classic is working but I still get the same error above when I try to install Evo.
 

When the installation didn't work I created an ISTS folder and put something in it.  The problem is I can't even run the evoerp.exe program-  I get this error message right away.  So nothing else is in my ISTS folder (that I created --I remember something about sometimes needing to create it with one file in it to help the installation along.)  
Another problem I am having with Classic is that all the companies I have are showing when I "Change Company" but my main company, WG.  The folder exists in the dbamfg folder and the path is correct when I look at the data locations in UT-D.

I got this one figured out also.  I remembered the file name- taspro7.ini.
