Users in the tools Users section
04/01/08 at 11:23:00

I show users in the tools users in EvoERP that are no longer logged in to the system. Rebooting the station does nothing. Any idea short of rebooting the server to removed multiple instance of the same user and of logged-off users.

Using EvoERP 12/15/07, 15 users
Pervasive 8.7

If you need to know who's really logged in, either use the Pervasive Monitor to see users, which shows a true representation of who's logged in and what files are opened, or you can log into Evo as the Admin user and then use the "clear user" to see if they are actually loged off.  Per the online help for Evo:
Clear User – This simply clears a user from the Login Display file (as in the case of a "hung" entry.  It does not actually affect the user’s status.  If the user is in fact still logged in, then if the Users screen is closed and reopened after 10 seconds, the record will reappear.

Hope that's somewhat helpful.   I tend to stick with the Pervasive Monitor and not use the User Tools unless I need to disable logins for an update or maintenance.

Thanks, that's good to know.
But it doesn't help my problem. I have a user who cannot post his labor or production. It doesn't show him or any computer near him as using Evo. I even went through rebooting the server to see if that would clear the problem, No help.
This person cannot report any of his work into the system, the program tells him Someone is already trying to enter labor for that user.  I can duplicate the issue from any computer and with my logon and even with the Admin logon.
I'm not quite sure how it all happened.

Well you didn't even mention that in your original post--that's an entirely different problem altogether!  You should probably contact Lynn about that one.   Successfully clearing out the users, and certainly rebooting the server clears out the users, so you have a stuck transaction somewhere.  Different animal.

This used to be a problem back in 2001, so back then I put in a undocumented feature. Press F9 and it will ask for the Employee number to Flush.  This will release all the info that employee was entering, and you should be good to go.
