company files transfer to stand alone

Will it work to copy my company files to my stand alone version which has the March update and a different version of Pervasive?

well....maybe...

If the stand alone is a newer version of Pervasive (as I think yours is), then that aspect is no problem.  If the stand alone was older Pervasive version, then there could be a problem.  I have been working with another user with Pervasive 8 on the live system and PSQL 2000 on a stand alone and it is a problem because the PSQL 2000 can't read the PSQL 8 file format.

As for Evo versions, it depends on how different they are and what program functions you use.  There was a recent (12/07 or 3/08, I would have to check) rebuild of the DC (Labor collection in DC-A, B, C) files, so if you use that function then you will have problems.  Otherwise, unless you are Way behind on the live system (as in 2005 which I know you are not), you are OK.

Thanks, Lynn.  I thought I remembered a rebuild of some files when I installed the March upgrade to the stand alone version of Evo.  I still have not accomplished that on my network.  I probably should wait until I upgrade my network, since I will want to enter labor.
