contract prices and commissions
06/11/08 at 14:09:22

I just cannot figure how to enter these prices.  The enter contract prices has no buttons at the bottom, and the listing is the price codes entered so far.  When I click on one it says these are price codes and not contract codes and I can't edit them here.  When I click F2 to lookup a customer, after I pick one nothing happens. How do I enter a new contract price-- that is a price setup for a customer?
The enter contract prices in the commissions module is the same way.
I could really use some help here.  Can anyone using this program explain this to me?

There should be an ADD button at the bottom.  Click that, then enter the customer and pricing.  Once you have created the Contract Pricing, then you can apply the associated commission in CS-M.

My CS-M does not have an ADD button-- it does not have any buttons except exit.

I thought we fixed that.  Ther was (apparently still is) a problem if Price Code Data exists in the file and no Contract pricing, the buttons are not available.  I will get the fixed version to you.  Meanwhile, the Insert key on the keyboard does work and once you have one added, the buttons will magically appear.

I guess I spoke too soon--
That worked to add a contract price in SO-Q- H so that when it showed up in CS-M I have the buttons and can edit that contract price for commissions.  But the help file says that if there is no record in the contract price commissions list, I will be able to add one here.  If I click on F2 and pick a customer, the screen goes back to the list.  If I click on "Insert" I get a pop-up that says "You must use Enter Contract Prices to add contract prices."  In other words I can enter contract prices through SO-Q-H only.

Either the Help file is not the latest, or my program is not the most current, or it just isn't working right.  The last most scary possibility is that I can't read!

It's not that I need to do this here, and I have no immediate plans to  use this contract price commissions (yet) but it would be nice during the learning process if I could match the help instructions with the program.

Something to put on the back burner until next week when all the more critical bugs are fixed--  Wink
