Is there some place I can find more information on ITPs. The help document doesn't have much data. Right now we have a mix of place that we list procedures including BOMs, Routing Text fields and on drawings. At this point we assign them part numbers in EVO with a Type N.  
 
There has been some internal debate about how they should be used in EVO. Some people feel they should not be included on BOMs because the BOMs should be for inventory items. Almost everyone agrees they should be called out on Routings and in drawing notes. The problem is that the routing text fields and drawing notes are not searchable. If we include them on BOMs we can used the where used function to locate all the places that a given procedure is called out.
 
It appears that ITPs might be an appropriate replacement for Part numbers in BOMs but the lack of info makes it hard to evaluate. Some of my questions include:
 
1. How many characters are available?
2. Can multiple ITPs be included with a given Item?
3. Can they somehow be tied to a specific routing sequence?
