Evo notes on the traveler
06/27/08 at 09:32:17

It has been a while since I did any testing on the Evo Notes so maybe I have forgotten how this works.

I have added Evo notes to a work order and can't get them to print on the traveler.  The SO notes (CSN) print if I select them but not the WO notes that I entered in WO-A.

I am using my test machine that has  3/27/08 version with all the latest patches  for my testing.
Is there something I have not set up? (Evo notes turned on is the only thing I changed)

I had the very same problem.  I received patch files from ISTECH Support via HecTEch Support.

Cathy,

there was an issue with the way the notes were entered.. notes entered in the grid were saving WO info like 123456 -  1, where the WOA and T7DBA2EVO were saving that info as 123456-  1. there was a space being added in the grids between the WO prefix and the -. I have fixed this. but as I was playing around with some stuff in the grids lately I broke something. and once I fix it I will send you the fix too.

Please put me on the list to get the fix also. Right now I have disabled EVO notes so I can print the old work order notes on the t6 traveler form.

I've also experienced some (great) difficulty with notes.  Does this sound correct:

Notes will not print when entered under WO-A
With Evo notes turned on, the old notes (Instructions) will not print.
The only way to get notes to work on a new work order is to turn Evo notes on and enter the notes in the look-up grid.
There is no correlation between notes entered in WO-A and notes entered in the look-up grid.

My people are not happy.  Maybe I'm dense but it does not sound like this was ready to implement and now I can't go back without re-entering a weeks worth of data.  My question is how do I get notes  to work with new work orders in WO-A and also have it print the old notes.

I, too, have tried to get notes to print on the traveler to no avail.
Has this issue been resolved yet?  Is there any clear explanation as to how they all play together?

We just had this problem this afternoon. I can't get the notes to print on the traveler. I tried STD and CSN notes but no luck. This WO was converted from a SO that had the notes. They didn't follow. Adding them didn't help either.

We are looking at the RTM and maybe it is missing the actual file it's suppose to pull from. For example the SO has is.note.note in the RTM. Could this be the problem?
