Install 2004.1 to upgrade 2002.1
07/15/08 at 14:33:40

Here's a new - old one.  We just aquired a company the has been using DBA since 2000 but has never applied the updates since 2002.4 7/15/03.  My question is can I go straight from 2002.4 to 2004.1   They have been on maintenance and have the update files up with passcodes, so they are legal.  If anyone was around in 2004 that could provide any clues, I would appreciate it.

You can but the difference between 2002.4 and 2004.1 isn't much more than the 2004 payroll tax tables.  You would be far better off to subscribe to our updates and get some actual program improvements....  Wink

Thanks for the quick response.  We will probably get to the latest and greatest some where down the road.  For now, we need to cleanup a lot of stuff establish some business rules and align the financials.  Then we can make process improvements.  Once again, thanks.

I did the same with only 2 issues (atleast issues for us Tongue ):

1. Errors get reported on duplicate Cust POs when entering an SO (we use STOCK as a Cust PO sometimes, and it will show each and every duplicate via an error screen...if you have 100 duplicate Cust POs for that customer, you will recieve 100 little error messages that you'll need to close)....I've posted an additional thread to try to fix this issue, only responses are to update to EVO.

2. UMs now show on packing lists, it was an issue for us, however through ModifyForms in DBA, you're able to remove it w/o issues.

These were the only 2 "issues" we've had when upgrading.
