entering new vendor
08/08/08 at 10:57:24

Can someone tell me why, when I enter a new vendor in Evo, it copies the notes from another vendor?  Then, when I try to delete them, they show up again.  I have to go into DBA Classic and take off the notes.

We have heard of this happening before, but both Lynn and I cannot reproduce this error. Does it happen every time you create a new vendor? and is it always the same notes that get copied?

I would suggest that the easiest way to verify would probably be to have the datafiles from the company in question sent to ISTech. That way they can try it on the data files which produce the error. My guess would be some sort of data corruption.

No - its not the same notes that are copied.  Out of the last 4 new vendors I have entered, 3 of them had notes on that I didn't enter.  2 had the same note and 1 had a different note...the last, no notes were added.

are you adding multi vendors in one session? or do you get out of APA and back in again?

just trying to narrow this down.

No, I am not adding these vendors one right after the other.  They were entered throughout the week at different times.
