Does deleting the workcetners affect the WO routin
08/13/08 at 12:36:19

Hello,

We are in process of implenting the Routing module. Someone have previously started the implementation and entered workcenters and routings for some products in which we use occasionally strictly for the traveler.
We have decided that the setup of workcenters is not what its supposed to be. In order to be able to delete the workcenters, I have to delete the related rountings.
Given that the ones entered before have some open WO, I want to know if deleting the routings and WC will affect the WO-Routings?
I need to know what will the deleting the routing and workcenters affect... so maybe we could schedule this to happen over a weekend and rr-enter the routings that we use with correct workcenters.

Any idea or suggestions on how to proceed?

We have seen issues with this-- when we delete a single routing sequence from the master routing, the WO loses all cost estimates for labor even though it has a routing with labor in each sequence.  If it includes the sequence that we deleted, the labor in the estimated costs goes away.  I assume deleting the whole master routing will have the same effect.
