We are receiving the following error when attempting different functions in SO. (Release). Also will not convert to WOs for some part #'s that are type F.

"A Sales order line item contains an invalid inventory code. XXX was not found in the Inventory Location file"

The odd thing is it does happen all the time for a particular part#, only on certain SO's.

What should I be looking for. In both cases, these are type F.

You may already have chased this, so I am sorry if I repeat something you have researched. Are you using multiple locations? If so, when you set up an item master, it will usually default to a set location. If you are setting up a sales order identifying a different location and the item was not set up in that location, you will get the message you described.
