I just found what you need to do on Windows server 2008. It is the Firewall. All you have to do is go into firewall (found in Control Panel). Go to "Change Settings," Click on Exceptions at the top of the dialog box, click "Add port" at the bottom. Give it a name "Pervasive Port 1" go to Port number, and place 3351. Make sure TCP is marked, say OK. Repeate add port, "pervasive port 2" put in port number 1583. And Firewall will no longer block your connections. I repeated the process. You can Check whether Windows 2008 is listening to these ports by going to "run" type in "cmd" type "netstat -a" and it will list all the ports it is listening to. With out giving ports 3351 and 1583 exceptions they will not be listed. After words they are listed as "listening." You will have to scroll back up in the prompt window to see the TCP ports.
