We have a group of normally purchased materials that we purchase and use regularly.  Sometimes we have the opportunity to buy a larger dimension material and send it out to a shop to be cut down and still bring it into stock at a better than normal cost.  I've created a part number for the larger size.  I don't see a good way to take a type 'R' and add outside service to it and then bring it into our regular stock of type 'R' (lot controlled).  Does anyone do that kind of transaction?  Any suggestions?
