WO-E Labor Cards
10/22/08 at 06:37:59

Hi - What is the best way to capture labor?  Clock in on the Work Order or use labor cards/labels?
For some reason I am not able to print labor cards in DBA - BKAWE1.RTM - and in EVO the system stalls for over 2 minutes before it prints cards for just one work order - T6WOE1.RTM -  Does anyone else have this problem?
Thank you
Debra

When you say that you are unable to in Classic what do you mean? In detail, what exactly happens?

The system shouldn't stall for two minutes in Evo before printing the cards. Unless you have an astronomical amount of huge WO's or something... This might be a case where reindexing the relevant files (after you backup of course!) would be a good idea.

Hi - Thanks for the reply
In DBA I go into WO-E, enter a released work order, tab tab and 2 seconds later the screen closes. Thats it.  Nothing happens.  We will updating everyone to EVO soon but for now...
In Evo we do have an enormous amount of work order information and we do have a very slow server (our IT person is physically working on the new server to be installed soon) so that very well may be the problem with the 2 min delay - but it does print but no barcode.
Can I ask your opinion?  The worker would still clock in and out of the work orders and in addition hand write a job ticket so we can enter labor and production?
I am trying to capture labor but I don't want it to be too laborious...what do other people do?
Regards
Debra
