Solines Grid sort different for one user....

A short time ago, I added the field Est. Ship Date to the solines grid and made that the primary sort. That was working fine, but since the Dec. update I have one user who doesn't see the grid sorted that way--it's defaulting in her case back to SO#, and if she tries to change it to Est. Ship date it hangs Evo on her.

How can I determine what's causing this issue on her system? I don't think there's anywhere in a config file on her system that saves settings for the grids (at least I could not find it on my system).

Is it something at her workstation, a config file? I can actually log in as her at my workstation and the sort is correct, so I suspect it's something local, but I don't know what. A little help...she's bugging me about this as it's causing her problems. Thanks, Val

AH, ok, miscommunication here. The Defined sort order is the Est. Ship date on the grid. BUT, when you actually look at the sort, its not by est. ship date, it's by the SO #, even though the Est. ship date is the first column in the grid. I can see in my login what she's saying about the sort, I was looking at the grid titles and saying looks good to me.....now that I really look at the data, it is being sorted by SO#.

If you try to change the sort order and say est ship date, it sorts first by the date then by the so #. Before the rebuild it would sort just by Est ship date.

I suspect this has to do with the rebuilding of the file (BKARINVL). How do I fix this?

Reviving an old ongoing issue....

This is still a problem for us. We need to be able to have the grid sort just by estimated ship date, period, no sales order sort. It comes up no real sort initially, then you select the sort by to be esitmated ship date and it sorts by estimated ship date then DO# for that range, then back to estimated ship date. Grr.! We want it to come up already sorted by estimated ship date. I have even removed the SO# from the sort keys in the grid, and it still insists on sorting first by ESD then by SO#.

I have my users wanting their classic screens back because it actually worked correctly in that. I want them to be using the GUI so this really needs to be addressed if there is any hope of getting people to progress with this program.

Any fix for this?

Reply #4 - 10/15/09 at 05:59:54 As I mentioned in a related thread, we tried a test t7ina program last night and that seems to be fixing the issue of the sort order across the board for everyone. It's just sorting by estimated ship date, nothing else. Looks good so far, thanks Allen! Val
