Unable to reindex file islog.b
01/20/09 at 14:04:06

User got a btrieve error -2 going into GL-e. File mentioned was islog.b
Tried to reindex it, but it gives the error "an error occurred while attempting to rename the original file".  No one is in EvoERP, and I have verified that.

What is this file?  Any other way to fix the problem?

ISLOG is the USERS file.. Tells you who is running what... its the file I use for users to send messages...under tools, users.

As long as anybody (including you) is in Evo, the file is open.  To reindex it, you need to get everybody out and use the Pervasive rebuild utility on the file.

Ah, ok. That explains it.  I will try the Pervasive rebuild.  I have to do that on another file anyway, I think.  We had a server crash yesterday morning and I think there are a few files at issue.

Thanks,

BTW the rebuild worked on this file and all the files.  I'm all set!
