I'm having some really strange problems with work orders.  I don't know how widespread it is yet, because I just found the problem.  It doesn't happen on all work orders and I can't determine what might be causing it.
 
First ...We had a work order that had a valid bom and when it was entered on a workorder, every line item showed zero. but if you went into work order maintenance and enter wo bills of material - if you entered the line it showed the correct amount and that same negative amount in the scrap.  I searched the item bill of material and enter inventory and couldn't find anything that would cause this...scrap was zero.  Also it didn't matter if it was converted from a sales order or entered from wo-a.
 
2nd... In trying to research the problem, I created a new number and copied the item bom to a the new part number.  They looked the same, but when I entered a work order for the new item,  it pulled in a bom, but every item showed a quantity of one instead of the original quantity on the item bom.
 
Tshe run file show T7woa.rwn.  I just switched to some of the newer programs when redoing security, could there be a problem with the rwn file?
