EDI Interface setup
03/17/09 at 12:37:56

I have a customer request for EDI of Purchase orders and Invoices.
I will need help from square one to get this set up.  Master EDI Setup, Run Can do EDI Program etc.
This office is using DBA Classic but I also will need to set this up for our other plants that use EVO.

You do not need to use Can-Do EDI; in fact I know of only a couple of DBA/Evo users that are and I know of many using EDI in one form or another.  What you do need is some sort of transalation software that converts the file format that you get from your customer into the format that the DBA/Evo import program expects and then converts it back the other way for invoicing and ASN (Advance Ship Notice).  There are often special labeling and bar code requirements as well and if you are in retail at all, (and even sometimes if you are not) UPC codes will be required.  If you need assistance with the intermediary conversion aspect of the process, please contact us and we cna put you in touch with people already familiar with the Evo/DBA EDI eqiurements.
