I had not thought of that, but that would definitely be a good addition to the external version. On the feature list for external are both customer and vendor portals, so a rep portal would fit in well. Reps could have reports on open orders, invoices, commissions, RMAs, and quotes, plus the ability to drill into order info and history for their client accounts, and access to product information for finished goods availability and pricing, like the customer portal.
Thanks for the idea. As to when we will see the external version... the current business climate being what it is, I've had to restrict myself to remunerating endeavors. For the time being it is an occasional project
