Edit WORKORDER Grid
07/07/09 at 06:49:25

In Classic - IN-A - WOs, there is a field called "Balance".  This field does not show up on Evo's IN-A - WO's.  Is there a way to add it?  I believe it would entail editing the WORKORDER Grid.

It is a calculated field so you would have to create a User Defined Function to add it to the grid.  We will do it so you don't have to.

I posted this yesterday in problems, repeatable, sorry.  I did not see this post.  This will be great for the IN-A WO'S in EVO.  I also mentioned that EVO IN-A Shipments also needs a field for customer PO like classic has.  Is this a possible addition for a future update also?

Thanks for doing this, it is what makes DBA and ISTECH awesome!

Hi Tfay
Not sure if they added the WO-balance in the new updates - we are still running 8/08.
I was told that there was a way to manually add WO Balance using SU-A and adding a formula to the grid.  I tried to do it myself but it did not work for me - it actually erased the WO look up file.
I paniced, called tech support - Tech Support instructed me on how to get it back -  Queries SU-D - had to over write and then replace all the grids.
I will wait for my IT girl to come back from vacation and ask her to add to the grid - or ask her to install the update...if WO balance is there!
Regards
Debra

Looks like the Balance column is now in the Workorder Grid with the latest update.

Thank you for the info
Our IT dept likes to wait until all the bugs are worked out before they install any updates...hope that will be soon!  Thanks again

I did, she replied, the answer was for us, as long as we had not modified our grids was to go to queries, run SD-U and choose overwrite.  Now we see IN-A WO balance in EVO. Smiley
