WO-K-B Active or Archive WO Question

When you run WO-K-B, Enter Workorder Bill of Materials, you get asked if you want ot use Active or Archived Workorders.  Why would one want to change the BOM on an archived workorder?

Not change but we had a user wanting to be able to look at them and copy and paste to a new one.  They were willing to pay for the programming to be able to do it.
