Revs on printed POs
08/13/09 at 05:58:25

In the print dialog for POs (IT6 vers) there is a question asking if you want to print drawing info and rev numbers on POs. In the IT6POB4.RTM subreport 1 there is a dbtext box that calls a field simply named "REV"... but answering Y to the question does not cause rev letters to print. The help file does not even mention the choice in the print dialog. Is this a farce, a future hope, or am I doing something wrong?

Have you verified that the rev field on the RTM has the "visible" box is checked?  That has happened to me before.

The question on PO-B refers to the Rev information stored in ISORDECO which is populated only if the "Use ECO for Drawing and Revision" Default is set to Y.  This is a relatively new option so you may also need to get the newest IT6POB4.RTX and replace your RTM or use the editor to add the fields from the newer RTX to your RTM

The setting is "Y" in DEF-H, and we've added the rev letters in IN-B... but ISORDECO does not show any rev letters. How does that get populated?

Ooh, ouch. The drawing needs to have its own rev letter? Is there someplace where the ECO module is discussed? And I see that in IN-B help it says

Quote:
Revision Level

The current engineering revision level of the item. This will print on the shop traveler. It is also included as an invisible field in the Purchase Order and can be made visible to print on the PO.

I thought that would mean that the Rev in IN-B could be printed on the PO. So maybe they are separate things?

Okay, I see. There is another DRAW and REV in subreport1 besides the big one. Got it!
