Special Receiving Instructions on Receipt Traveler
09/23/09 at 11:12:55

I want to know if there is a place for Inspection notes or QC notes that will print on the traveler - the traveler is after all suppose to be used by Inspectors to accept parts.  The inspector can add notes to alert them of previous problems on a part, or a critical dimension

I know that notes entered by Purchasing on a PO can print on the traveler but I need to know if there are Receiving and Inspection notes that can be attached to the part number that will print out on the Incoming Receipt Traveler.
Thank you

It currently can't but I agree it should.  I have asked programming to add the Item, Vendor and PO Notes as options as well as add the ability to print the ITP Number (Inspection & Test Procedure) on the traveler.

Debra, a work-around in the interim..Company I used to work for, we put the inspection notes in the "Spedification" section in IN-B.  These then printed on the Purchase Receipt Travelers and inspection "ticked off" important items as they completed.  You can choose not to print on purchase order if they do don apply to the purchase of the part.
