IN-B add vender part no.
09/24/09 at 16:38:21

We are having trouble entering the vender part number in IN-B.  It sometimes takes up to two minutes to bring the screen up and sometimes gives me the not responding message and closes EVO down.

I go to IN-B and type in a part number

click on source

click on vender  (at which time it takes forever or locks up.)  I can choose manufacturer and it comes right up.

Its comes up quickly in DBA...but not in EVO.

We have just loaded the new update, but it has been very slow for quite some time.  Would appreciate if someone would try it so I can see if its just on mine or a system glitch of some sort.

Thanks!

We have the problem intemitently. When we click on Vendor Item Number, a small header appears in the bottom left of the screen ... then a few seconds later the dialogue box appears. Occasionally, after the small header appears in the bottom left, the screen will flash as tho it is trying to open something, but nothing opens and the program freezes.

Yes, that's exactly it...this morning I reloaded DBA classic on the employee that is in charge of putting them in since it works fine in DBA...but I'm hoping we figure out whats causing it soon.

Thank you for confirming this problem and please let me know if you find a solution.

Darla
I have the problem also.  Click on Vendor and it takes about 2 mins before the info appears
Click on MFG and the info pops right up.

Either a programming "funny" or a bad index?  Ours comes up almost instantly.

When in IN-A - Vendor info comes up instantly
When in IN-B - Vemdor info takes about 30 seconds
(I feel like I had to correct my previous 2min estimate)

The only difference I see from looking at the profiles is the version of Pervasive.  We are running 9.5 and according to the profiles, Debra is running 10 and Mike, whos vender part no comes up instantly is running 2000i.
...Just grasping at straws.

at least one thing, is that all workstations should be running the same client pervasive version as what's running on the server.

in regards to IN-B, i'm guessing you're referring to the vendor cross reference. i've seen the behaviour on some workstations ( i belive that was on pervasive 9.1), but not on all. i take it, you tested even on other workstations?

i'm also on the 9/16/09 sp2 update, using pervasive 10 and it works fine.
