Work in Process Summary

Finished product WIP cost is higher than Actual Total cost so Net Wip has minus. When ever we shipped partial we get that report. On the WO has 100 % WIP I do not see any error but when i was running WIP Summary I get that , why why why.. Roll Eyes

When you finish a partial work order, depending on what you use for the cost per item, (standard cost, DBA calculated approximate actual cost, or your own estimated cost), there may be a difference between the cost you use for the partial and the actual cost per item when the work order is completely finished.  This difference posts as a variance, either positive or negative depending on whether the costs you used are understated or overstated.

Thanks for your answered. Our WO was WIP 100 % . Material and Actual cost are equal. If I shipped partial from that WO, Finished product will be more but not all of my WO some WO, may be 1 or 2. This is straight Working WO not WIP or changed. I do not understand was Finished Prod cost is more than material and Actual cost. I really want to know is what cause it is.
thanks
