From the CA Franchise Tax Board web site:
Starting November 1, 2009, a new law (ABX4 17) requires the state wage withholding rates to be increased by 10 percent. This is not a new tax. Withholding schedules are available at the Employment Development Department’s website, edd.ca.gov. Changes to withholding amounts for state taxes can be made by submitting Form DE 4 to your employer.
Are there plans to update the CA tax tables?
