scrap a lot controlled item from work order
12/11/09 at 11:12:13

I need to scrap and re-issue a large amount of a lot-controlled item from several work orders.  What is the best way to do this?  I would like to keep track of the scrapped item.

Cathy, I asked Walter about this and he basically said it t really doesn't show the lot traceability.  The only way to do it is through the WO issue material and 1 work order at a time.   Calculate ahead of time the number needed and issue the lot controlled items accordingly.

Probably not much help to you, but I thought I would ask him since I know we use many lot controlled items and they have had to scrap some in the past.

Thanks Val for you answer.  We have decided to use a work order to issue the scrapped lot controlled item to, after un-issuing it from the original work order.  This seems the only way to keep track of the scrapped lots.
