Kit component prices ADDing to total?!!

Just noticed this today when a customer called wondering why the subtotal on the invoice was different than the extended price of the one item...

Turns out that if you Enter through the Kit Component lines the base prices pull in (since we don't print kit components we didn't notice it).

I KNOW this is not the way it used to work. The only thing I can possibly think of that I did is the other day I was playing with Features and Options, and I set up the ONE test item I created to charge separately for some of the options. I can't imagine it has anything to do with it; F&O is item specific and this is happening on any item I try it on. Plus, if it was supposed to pull the price in, it isn't unless you Enter through the line...

Reply #1 - 09/22/10 at 07:18:09 There is a default setting to pull in Kit Component pricing but that pulls them in regardless of whether the line is entered through. I will check into it.

We're having this problem. We have some kits as part of the BOM of another part that we send no charge. The price of the primary unit is automatically going into the price of the kit when you print the acknowledgement. In the SO entry screen is shows 0, but when you print it it has a price where it shouldn't. It doesn't add into the total though, and it doesn't appear to print on an invoice, just the acknowledgement. Is this a default setting we can change?
