On Jan. 22, 2010 we had some sort of glitch in the system and some of our accounting transactions from this date disappeared. The amounts are reflected in the financial statements, but the detail is missing if I run a detailed trial balance on the specific account number, so my financials do not match my detail dollar amounts.  This had continued through out the year, financials are correct - detail trial balance is wrong.  I need to fix this prior to our year end close on 12-31.  Also between the accounts that are off, the debit and credit amounts are not equal.  Is there a way to add transactions to the detail trial balance of an account without it hitting the financial statements (which would result in a duplication).
